Report On The Impact Of Mining On The Population Of Haut-Ogooué, Gabon

The Province of Upper Ogooue has long witnessed an industrial exploitation of mineral resources, as evidenced by the presence of COMUF and COMILOG the 1960s. The exploitation of uranium by COMUF ceased at ten years, but could resume soon. As for the manganese it grows steadily in recent years and Gabon intends to become the world’s largest producer.
