The Alberta Wilderness Association’s Nigel Douglas said that he was pleased with the diversity of groups that signed on endorsing the brief six-page document — Sustainable Forests, Sustainable Communities: The Future of Alberta’s Southwestern Forests.
“It’s not just the traditional ‘tree-hugger’ perspective, it’s a lot of different people who are looking for a new way of managing forests in Alberta,” Douglas said.
