New Zealand rejects Japan’s demand to stop anti-whaling activists

New Zealand’s foreign minister on Saturday rejected Japan’s demand to take action against anti-whaling activists that obstruct its ships in the Southern Ocean. Murray McCully said New Zealand follows a policy of open ports and there was no reason to deny access to the activists’ vessels, Radio New Zealand reported.
