Forestry tenure reform in Ontario causing tension

In an already wobbly forestry sector, a recent motion in Queen’s Park could lead to more uncertainty for Northern Ontario companies. Jamie Lim, president of the Ontario Forest Industries Association (OFIA), said although the provincial government presented a “measured” approach to forest tenure reform in January 2011, Bill 151 introduced in March undoes a year’s worth of consultation work.
