Liard band seeks delay to consider projects

The Liard First Nation has asked an environmental assessor for more time to review one project because it still needs to study 25 other projects in Kaska traditional territory. The letter to the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board suggests the Yukon mining boom is overwhelming the ability of First Nations to react to proposed developments.
