Namibia: Protected Areas Vital for Future Generations

Namibia’s national protected area network now covers 140 394 square km, which constitutes 17 per cent of the country’s land surface, the Minister of Environment and Tourism said last week. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah said protected areas are vital tools for conserving Namibia’s biodiversity.
