Wales’ wildlife populations reflect changing environment

The birds and butterflies you see – or don’t see – on a country walk can tell you a lot about the state of the environment As summer approaches many of us will be heading out into the countryside to enjoy the wildlife and landscapes of rural Wales. But how aware are we, as we walk across a peat upland or linger in a wooded valley, of how much the wildlife around us can tell us about the health of our environment.
