Gray wolves remain protected statewide in Washington state

lthough wolves have been removed from federal Endangered Species Act protection in the eastern portion of Washington, they remain protected as a state endangered species throughout Washington. That was a reminder sent out recently by the state Department of Fish and Wildlife.
