India and Bangladesh plan to sign a treaty on sharing of Teesta water

The pact is being viewed as one of the major takeaways from the visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Bangladesh in about a decade. However, a few knotty issues, if unresolved, could see talks fail. These relate to the sharing of the unallocated 25% of the river water between the two countries.
