Venezuela signed an agreement to strengthen the Marine and Coastal Areas

This is a project for the systematic study of 585,000.00 square kilometers of marine areas and is the first time in the American history that covers a space of such magnitude with an integral vision. The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power for the Environment (Minamb) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) signed a co-financing agreement to strengthen the system of the Marine and Coastal Protected Areas of the country with an investment of approximately $ 20 million.
