WWF welcomes Fisheries Council resolve to let fish stocks recover in the Baltic Sea

Today Fisheries Ministers decided on the 2012 fishing opportunities for the Baltic Sea. WWF welcomes the Fisheries Council’s decision to reduce Total Allowable Catches (TACs) for various fish stocks allowing them to recover, even if it is unfortunate that Member States such as the Baltic states, including Sweden and Finland, voted against a considerable reduction of the TAC for salmon.
